Pottery

The pottery collection at the museum has a wide variety of types, shapes and decorations, with a chronology ranging from the 16th to the 20th centuries. The most important potteries are those of the centers of Talavera de la Reina and Puente del Arzobispo, as the marquiss of Vega-Inclan had special predilection for the pottery of these centers. There are also examples from the excavations of the caves. Some works of high quality are exhibited in the kitchen, showing a bit of the domestic life at the time of El Greco.
